MYTH #1 - " I NEED A REMOTE "

When was the last time you were riding down the road and heard 'DJ Joey' say "Stop by Sam's Ford Shop today from 1-3pm…" and actually went to Sam's Ford Shop? Be truthful, now….you couldn't care less about meeting DJ Joey or being one of the first one-hundred to show up and get a station t-shirt.

If you're in the market for a new car, you probably want to hear "what's in it for you". Are there special rebates, discounts or interest-free opportunities this weekend? Is there a special service department incentive for purchasing now? Does Big Sam have the best selection of new Mustangs in the market? Are they willing to find me whatever I need within two weeks?

TRUTH - YOU WANT CUSTOMERS, NOT GROUPIES...
If you asked the last 100 people why they bought a vehicle from you, I guarantee you wouldn't have one of them answer "because DJ Joey was there".  YOU WANT QUALIFIED CUSTOMERS… NOT the groupies that show up sporting the station's t-shirt and feeding their entire family at your 'remote'. Events are great, yes! But the desired result of a remote can actually be accomplished through a sixty-second commercial campaign designed to create urgency through a good strategy - a good offer, and a clear deadline for action. You can create the feeling of an event entirely through a good commercial schedule. Please refer to the "Success Stories" section for an example of one of those campaigns.
