MYTH #3 - " SPREAD MY COMMERCIALS OUT "

Many clients believe that spreading their commercials out (running a few here and a few there) will get them greater or longer exposure. This is perhaps one of the biggest mistakes many advertisers make. Don't believe me? Consider this: the average adult is bombarded with over 1500 messages per day! Newspaper, radio, TV, voicemail, cell phones, post-it notes, and... oh yeah, have you checked your e-mail inbox lately? Now - where does your message fall on the list of important things they have to remember today?

our commercial has to stand out…both in content and quantity. Repetition is recall. Radio is absolutely the best vehicle for frequency - and frequency is simply the repetition needed to drive recall. In a nutshell….do not spread your commercials thin. The secret to advertising is CONCENTRATION. That means a lot of commercials in a short period of time. Retention is stronger. Your message cuts through the clutter. Think of the advertisers you love to hate. The commercials you would swear have been aired at least 50 times in the last 24 hours. THOSE are the people who know how to use radio. (Note: some of the commercials are really bad….when you work with us, yours won't be!) 

Instead of taking 50 or 60 commercials and spreading them over an entire month, we put them all into one week.
