Determine Your Needs
The following are the most common answers given by most business owners when asked about their needs. "People don't know about us"…"We need more traffic"…"We need to increase awareness"…"We need more sales". While all this may very well be true, you need to dig a little deeper here. What is it that you'd like people to know about you that they don't already know? Does the public have a misperception about you? Do you really need to increase overall traffic, or just traffic from a specific type of customer?



The first step with any marketing campaign is to determine exactly what your business needs. An easy mistake to make as a business owner is to advertise for your next sale without knowing what your customer is "really" looking for. Is it really the low price? Or - is it the convenience? Is a perception holding your customers back? If so, how are you battling to overcome that perception? Do you have plenty of customers….without having the exact customer you want? Has your average sale decreased? Are the trends in your industry changing? These types of issues should be addressed before any "advertising" takes place. The more specific you are about your needs, and the needs of your customer, the greater service and assistance I can provide.
